How we make SR&ED content
How SREDlog researches, reviews and updates educational content, including the role of AI and the boundary around tax advice.
Where our information comes from
Canada's SR&ED incentives are governed by the Income Tax Act and Income Tax Regulations and administered by the Canada Revenue Agency. Our guides use CRA primary material, including program policies and the T4088 guide to Form T661. When we explain a rule, we identify the CRA's published position instead of presenting our own interpretation as settled fact.
How we handle figures that change
Rates, limits and thresholds change from year to year. We avoid stating a specific figure as timeless, and every guide that touches numbers carries a note to confirm the current figure with the CRA or your advisor before you rely on it. Tax facts that matter are kept with their source and the date they were checked, not hard-coded page by page.
Our review process
Content is drafted, checked against the primary source, and edited for accuracy and clarity before publication. If we get something wrong, tell us. We will correct it and note the change.
How we use AI
We use AI to help draft and organize content, but a person checks and edits the result. No guide is published as raw model output. A person reviews each factual claim before publication and records changing tax facts with their source and check date.

Our guides are general educational information about how SR&ED works. They are not tax advice, and they can't account for the specifics of your company or claim. For a decision that turns on your facts, confirm with the CRA or a qualified advisor. SREDlog the product reflects the same boundary: it prepares and organizes a claim; it never decides eligibility or files on your behalf.
